On behalf of the children, Governors and staff of Pye Green Academy I would like to welcome you to our website, and share some information with you about our school that we hope you will find useful.
Our school became an academy under the Education Central Multi Academy Trust (ECMAT) on 1st October 2014. We are a converter academy, a school that has chosen to become an academy, a school that is proud of its past, its reputation, its location, and the community in which it stands.
As a member of ECMAT we are part of a network of schools working collaboratively on supportive, rigorous and sustainable approaches to school improvement under the direction of Professor Mick Waters and the University of Wolverhampton.
Pye Green Academy provides a friendly and caring community within which children and adults work hard, have fun, and are able to fulfil their potential.
Our school is a place where we all want to be, where mutual respect, a zest for life, and a desire to learn come together to make Pye Green Academy a great school to be part of.
We are committed to providing a wide range of opportunities to inspire children, whatever their interests or talents. Children, teachers, and parents are enthused by our innovative curriculum which is challenging, diverse and exciting. We make learning fun and relevant and have firmly embedded learning outside the classroom within the children’s experiences.
Visitors to our school often comment on the friendly and happy environment. We believe that we know every child as an individual, and place great importance on the establishment of strong and positive relationships with parents and carers.
At Pye Green Academy we educate our children for the future, enabling them to develop as confident, independent, well-balanced individuals who care about their community and the wider world, and want to look after it. Children in our school learn how to be flexible and adaptable, as well as developing excellent communication and computing skills.
We look forward to meeting you, and welcoming you and your child into our school.
Miss Ruth Tonkinson
