Pye GreenValleyPrimary School is a co-educational day school administered by Staffordshire County Council, catering for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11. The school serves the Pye Green area of Hednesford.
At Pye Green Academy we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future.
Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016’ and the 2015 ‘Prevent duty’. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism.
The school is situated on the outskirts of Hednesford, on the edge of Cannock Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The first phase of the school building opened in September 1991, followed by Phase Two in March 1993, and a purpose built nursery unit in September 2007. The school is a single storey design with no internal or external steps.
Our modern buildings and facilities, extensive landscaped grounds, sports pitches, play areas, computer suite, new library and rural location provide an excellent, safe, and secure environment for learning.
